My theory is correct. At some stage or another, everybody has some connection to Naracoorte. It’s like some magical place where people live, have lived, worked, visited, but everyone has a connection.

So I was not so suprised when I met the lovely mummy of Sam today and found that she, like myself, was a former Naracoortian. (While most people fly the coop at some stage - they make ‘em good down there. )

And just to prove HOW good they make ‘em down there, have a look below at the heavenly Samuel. I bet he slept all afternoon!

Well. I should have known that the sister of kids artist extraordinaire, Art by Tali, would be as lovely as she is, and I was correct in thinking so.

I wasn’t quite as prepared for how cute her new bubby would be though. As you can see below, the answer is indeed cuuuuute. And snuggly! Thanks for having me over. I had fun AND great coffee (for future clients, I will do most things for good coffee).

Oh I do have a lovely job. A few short weeks ago I photographed this family, with the little man still cosily in his mum’s belly. This time I got to meet him properly, and he was very well behaved – despite giving mum and dad a hard time for his first few days!

On Friday I was very blessed to meet a family who managed to cope with the most try circumstances surrounding the birth of their little man, and come out smiling…which was of course what I was doing when I met this little guy.

Mr. E decided not only to come while mum and dad were moving house, but also come seven weeks early, AND in a rural SA town, meaning mum was flown by the wonderful flying doctors, while dad broke the land speed record trying to drive down in time. Mr. E still wasn’t going to wait and gave mum a hard time by greeting her all by herself.

He must have used up all of his drama early on however, as many weeks later, he is as relaxed as you could ask for – just don’t be taking his dummy away!

A friend for Sooty

On Friday I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely family expecting their first bubby, with a very curious ‘fur-baby’ named Sooty. Whilst one would think the new baby would be taking centre stage – Sooty was having none of it. She wanted to be included in all of the shots – but on her own terms of course!

If this lovely couple can muster anywhere near as much affection for their new bub as theirown mums clearly have for them - he will be one lucky little man.

I look forward to meeting the newest family member in due time, but for now, here is a special sneak peek of the bub-to-be. Thanks for having me guys!

So… this is the product of around seven years of consistent prayer. While everyone else had babies around Melanie, she waited and waited and prayed and prayed and very eventually, along came one little Matthew. We waited a long time for you little man! Which is the only reason I would allow a bubby to do number twos not only on his mum, and his dad, but also on me! Thank You Mr. Knuchel Junior!! And welcome to the world. x

Well, as most of you know, I tend to shoot blind during emotional weddings, as I bawl and sniffle at the appropriate parts of the ceremony and have to point my camera in the general direction of the couple and hope for the best. This wedding, in the lovely grounds of the Yalumba Winery, was one of those, that as a woman, you just go “Naaaaw”.

As a photographer however, when you are lucky enough to be invited to play at a wedding like this, you say “SCORE!” and throw your hands in the air with glee – suh-tunning bride, gorgeous bridesmaids, incredible scenery and none too shabby groomsman are what make a photographer jump around with joy, and as you can see below, this was one of ‘those’ weddings.

A big thanks to Emma Sharkey, for inviting me along for the ride. It was great fun! And a huge congratulations to Toby and Pru. Thanks for having me!

So, this Saturday I again had the pleasure of playing photographer along with Emma Sharkey, which was a very good thing, given that we were photographing a bridal party of 19. Yep, 19 gorgeous people in one bridal party, which made for alot of fun. Unfortunately both Emma and I kept getting distracted by the junior members and noone could blame us, with all three of them being so stinkin cute.

The wedding was held at the 100 Eaves in Sellicks Beach, which was utterly stunning, with the reception at Woodstock Winery. And I must say, the service at this Winery was far and above anything I have seen in this entire wedding season. Well done guys!

The bridal dance was every spectator’s dream – and every photographer’s nightmare – with lifts, spins, dips, drops, and several song changes…let me tell you, I was extremely proud of the trusty 1DMkII for keeping up! By the end, I was cheering and laughing along with the guests, well done guys! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek, see you when you get back!

Yesterday I again had the pleasure of hanging out with Emma Sharkey, to photograph the wedding of Michael and Rebecca. And I learnt several things…a) if a cake happened to get waylaid, Emma can whip one up out of donuts and flowers which will have people saying ‘WOW’ all night, b) George from Beyond India (North Adelaide) makes THE BEST Indian food in Adelaide and c) The groom is actually a very good Ukranian dancer. A man of many talents!

Aside from subjecting me to not one, but two Abba songs (Mike and Beck are very big old style music fans), I had a fantastic day, and cried several times – the worst being when Beck pulled her Daddy up for a special Daddy Daughter dance.

Thank You Both for having us, much love to you both, I’ll see you in a week or two!
